As a pioneer in the field of museum glass—being the first company to introduce this type of product to the Greek market—ANASTASIOS M. TAOUXIS currently offers a range of museum glass types from the three leading companies worldwide: TRU VUE, FLABEG, and NIELSEN BAINBRIDGE, meeting even the most demanding customer needs in the protection of works of art.

Museum glass is now widely used by major museums and art institutions abroad (Musée du Louvre, Hermitage, Rijksmuseum, Kunstmuseum Basel, S.R. Guggenheim, Tate Gallery, etc.) and in Greece (National Gallery, Benaki Museum, National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation, etc.), as well as by photographers, collectors, art conservators, galleries, and others.

Museum glass represents the most advanced type of framing glass, as depending on its type, it offers additional features compared to standard framing glass, with the aim of protecting and enhancing works of art.

As is well known, exposure to UV radiation causes color fading, yellowing of the image, and deterioration of the artwork—effects that become permanent over time.

With the highest level of UV protection and the lowest level of reflectivity, museum glass protects, enhances, and preserves works of art exceptionally well, filtering—depending on the type—from 50% to 99% of harmful UV radiation. In addition, its anti-reflective coating reduces glare without altering colors and details, similar to the clarity achieved by High Definition (HD) televisions.

In the past, the use of museum glass was considered prohibitive, as it was sold only in bulk packages (4 or 5 sheets), making its cost excessively high. Our company innovates in the field by dividing the package and providing the glass cut precisely to your required dimensions. In this way, we make it more affordable for the customer while also ensuring safer transportation and minimizing the risk of damage.

With many years of experience in the glass industry, ANASTASIOS M. TAOUXIS guarantees prompt and excellent service, making the use of museum glass easy and accessible.
